Stuff You Heard on the Show
What Happened to Nikki?
Friends,

As you may have heard on the show, Nikki has moved on.  She didn't want to make a "big deal" out of it on the air, so we didn't. (I'm kinda relieved, because I would have gotten all emotional...)

This transition has been planned, with Nikki, for months, but we know it will seem sudden to you.

She didn't leave because of any "big story".  There's no personality conflict behind this, no scandal, no incident, and it's not related to her on-air work in the least.  It's a matter of job-details, and human resource and employment "stuff".  Nikki enjoyed being part of the show, but necessary changes in off-air duties didn't align with her interests.

We will miss her on the air, and we will miss her off it, too.  We wish her God's blessing in this new chapter of her life (she's returning to Michigan to be near her family.)  I wanted to take calls on the show, to have people thank her.  But she was more comfortable with emails, if you want to send her one:   This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. As much as we'll miss her, please help us make our new producer feel welcome!  We're very excited that Katie Rose will be joining us, and we think you'll love her.  Please make her feel welcome (or give here the appropriate warnings about with whom she's now working) at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Thank you for understanding.  This is a weird thing about radio, how people can seem to just "disappear" without explanation, like they never even existed -- and we don't want to do that.  We think of you as friends.

Yours,
Brant

I will greatly miss Nikki!!! May she be greatly blessed wherever she goes. There is no doubt in my mind that she will continue to influence the youth in a positive way as she has done with me. Sometimes, you all behind the microphones may not know it 100%, but believe me and others when I say, .......YOU GUYS ARE ALL AWESOME!!!! You make a HUGE impact in people's lives and I thank God for this ministry. It has given me so much strenght to move on past so many horrible things that have happened in my life and be the best I can be to be a role model for my kids. Take care.

And thank you, too, for your grace and kindness to Nikki, and to the rest of the us on the show.

Our family will so miss Nikki's joy, humor and wisdom. She became family. AND, she gets Brant!! We loved her reactions to Brant's view of life. She was refreshing and lovable. Please let Nikki know that we will join so many in S Florida who will keep her in their prayers. And, please ask Nikki to keep us updated on her life....especially when she finds that man that God is preparing for her.
Love and Prayers,
The Newberry and Frallicciardi families

Thanks for letting us know about Nikki and the changes on the show. I have been listening to you all for years now and I have seem many people come and go. Without minimizing any of the sweet people who left after making the morning show so great, I understand that the show must go on. I trust you are under God's guidance and whatever you do will be for the best of the program, audience and the ones who have moved on. As to Nikii, I'll miss her independent spirit and great personality... I know she'll suceed in her choice. I also know you guys will continue making my ride to work awesome every morning! My best to you all always.

Brandt, Thank you for your honesty in your update of Nikki's status. I listen to your show and I've really grown to appreciate each of your personalities and what you three brought to the show. I know morning shows are pretty much a must in radio, but most of them end up being either over-the-top or just torpid background noise to me. You guys don't have Wally's antics, but I don't think you need to. Your show stands alone in asking and answering the heavy questions in a way that I truly believe that Christ intended. I see the genuine nature of your show when you meet hurting people where they live with your inflection and empathy. I hope this doesn't change with Nikki's departure because you and Pablo are needed; plus you can do all of the afforementioned while playing an accordian. -Priceless

I agree with your statement "It is a wierd thing in radio" seems like someone just "leaves" suddenly. When you listen to someone for so long, you do miss hearing them. I wish Niki all the very best !

Sad to hear about Nikki leaving...and yet thankful that you did NOT sweep her into oblivion! Great choice on passing on the information. Nikki will be missed, but looking forward to the new dynamic with Katie as well. Praying that God blesses Nikki as she moves on, and that God blesses you guys and the show as you move forward! Thanks for your encouragement and straight-up discussions about Christianity on a daily basis.

Hi. I have listened to 88.1 from South Florida to Tallahassee since I was 17-18. I am now 33 and listen every moment I get the chance. Including online at work when I can. I grew up in foster care and have lost so many people in my life suddenly and for years at a time; sometimes I never got to see them again. I know that past has me now say i am sad Nikki left and wish her well yet I am angry and hurt that she would not take a few days to say goodbye to people who have grown to care for her. She is sweet and probably didn't want to feel bad but that is part of the process if done properly...pain and then better healing. Anyway you probably won't post this becasue it is a bit on the negative side, but i wanted to say how I feel because it hasn't left me and I am reminded now EVERYTIME I turn on your station and it really bums me out. Thanks for reading this

Brant, I am not so sure if I'm posting this in the correct place. Either way, I know you will read this. I want to let you know you all are in my prayers. It's got to be hard when you are with someone everyday and they need to leave... id think it be ******* both sides. I am not upset with any of you although I understand others reaction. We are only human after-all, right? I am happy I woke up so early. I heard you early talking about Nikki leaving, and heard some comments people made to Katie. So not only do you have to deal with not having Nikki around but people who listen to you... "warning" Katie. Just because we may not understand things, doesn't mean it doesn't make sense... I feel blessed to have been able to hear Nikki while she was on the air and will continue to pray for her. I am looking forward to hearing Katie on the air and getting to know and love her as I love you all. I am truly grateful and want you guys to know I have you on pretty much all the hours I am awake. I accepted Jesus Christ just in early March... but your radio station; through the grace of God has been and is a huge reason why I am where I am. So thank you Nikki for being on the air when you could be and may God stay with you wherever you go! Thank you Brant for being YOU. You have such a big heart! Thank you for sharing it with us everyday. Pablo, thank you for doing what you do and the comments I do hear of you always bring a smile to my face! To everybody whose name I don’t know or haven’t said; and is apart of the radio station- THANK YOU. You all make a huge difference in my, and millions of others life.... Because He is amazing. I am so grateful for you all. In my prayers, everyday, you all remain.
+because of His grace+

I hope you all will take a chance to read Nikki's post on Brant's facebook page. It sure helped me to understand more. This post from Brant did not explain that Nikki did not want to leave the show and how very hard this was for her to leave all the listners...but she still wishes the show the best and is trusting God to direct her and continue to use her in her future.

Well ... I'm glad to hear she's ok and doing what she feels is best and following God's desires.

I really hope Katie has a few tricks up her sleeve to keep you in line. hahaha

Dear Nikki,
Just recently found out that you are no longer with The Word; I enjoyed your comrade with Brant and also with Pablo, you all worked really well as a team and you are and will be missed alot. I pray that whatever Gods' plans are for you now and in the future that you will be blessed. I know that things change, first it was Tim-in the morning and now it is you as a Producer. Enjoy the road that God leads you down. Take Care, God Bless.

Brant keep on keeping on. The show is great even though I have listened to it for a short while. But I do have a comment,( for the new producer) it lacks personality and humor and a go get it attitude when Nikki was there. I will give it a chance but you have a very dry and flat personality.

I couldn't agree more. I so MIss Nikki. It is just not the same at all. I think the station made a big mistake with this move. I tried to give it a chance but it just isn't like it use to be. I am not going to listen anymore thought I do wish you all best of luck.I

I think the new producer is doing a good job, then again with Brant and Pablo it's easy to be good...
