Meet Katie Rose, Producer-Person
So, a little background: Where are you from...family info...?
I grew up in Lake Havasu City, Arizona chasing lizards, playing in the lake, and getting hurt (mostly because days started with my brother saying, "Hey, you should try this!") I started in radio young. I was in every club in high school and most of the time president. By the time i got out I couldn't stand the sight of purple and gold.
I loved my college experience and really grew into myself there. For the past two years I have lived with in a house with 10 girls and even though I am use to being one of the guys I LOVED it.
Brothers?
I have one. He is 3 years older No sisters. My family life growing up? My mama, my brother and me were a very tight unit.
You just graduated from Biola University. What did you get your degree in?
Journalism/Public Relations with a minor in Biblical Studies.
Ever take a personality test? What did it say you "are"?
I found out i am too ADD to take a personality test but i do like the ones in magazines to find out what shoe i would be.
So what shoe would you be?
I'm Hawaiian, so we go barefoot. We have "luau feet".
So what you're saying is the kind of shoe you'd be is your own foot.
(laughs)
You've listened to Mornings with Brant for awhile now. But you wanted this job, anyway. Why? What's wrong with you?
I blame a failing economy.
How do you feel about the smell of toast?
I am in favor or the smell of any food. Big fan.
Do you have a high tolerance for nerds?
Yes, because I used to be one. :D
"Used to...?"
Okay, still am one.
Excellent! Anything awesomely embarrassing ever happen to you on the air?
Many times. I once got caught with the mics on while i sang my own rendition of "sexy back" dedicated to my partner at the time. I titled it, "pablo's got a hairy back". It was a big hit. the phones lit up.
I also once asked a friend if they wanted concert tickets and they said they couldn't go. on Monday, they were my first caller and yet again my mic was on so during a nice worship song all you hear is me saying, "Good morning KNLB, .... you can't win you loser." Surprisingly it didn't stop people from calling.
How do your friends describe you?
Well you would have to ask them. probably outgoing and organized. maybe a neat freak and a good cook. I hope personable, loving, .... Humble :D
So how did you become a believer? Was that a recent thing, or were you raised in a Christian family, or...?
I was raised in a christian home with an amazing example but it wasn't till I moved out that my faith really became my own.
Totally random question here, no real point to it: You're single, which means you might get married sometime in the future, and have a wedding, and you would need music for that wedding. Are you open-minded in regard to who might sing at that ceremony?
Yes you can sing but I reserve the right to control when and the mic level.

Tell Katie Coy Sawyer says hi. Had her in Sunday School just a "few" years" ago. Ask her about the fruit of the Spirit! (if she recalls).

Yes, sin is sin, but consequences are different for each one. I think that one of the reasons sexaul sin is spoken of so much in the church is because of the severe consequences of it. Very few other things can ruin lives of individual and families as much as a person being caught up in sin of a sexual nature. This is one area where the consequences can be life long and life changing. This isn't a sin that only affects the person involved in it--the affects can be far reaching.

As a mother of only one daughter, and someone who has heard Brant's audition for Nikki's wedding, I have some concerns. Sincerely, Katie's Mama
