Nikki grew up in the frigid winters of Michigan, and, looking back, it should be a surprise to no one that she ended up in a career that requres her to talk a lot.
A very chatty child, Nikki went about life in small town America, a typical kid playing softball, in the band and orchestra, performing in the Color Guard during football season, and never really thinking much about her radio.
As she progressed through school she began plans to pursue a career as a history teacher. This all changed her senior year in high school when she did an independent study in video production. This led her to declare a major in Communication at Spring Arbor University, still paying no attention to the radio. In fact, she scoffed when shown the campus radio station during her tour, thinking, "What does this have to do with ME?"
As it turns out, she was required to take a radio class and happened to have a knack for it. The prof convinced her to try it...and that class led her into what she calls, "Brant's world of randomness."
Nikki started at a Top-40 station in Lansing, before moving to Virginia to pursue her Masters at Regent University. There, she worked at a hip-hop/R&B station for a few years before deciding, as she puts it, "It would be pretty awesome to be on a show that was not only fun, but honest and open about Jesus. And here we are."
Beyond radio, Nikki loves to read, travel, go to the theater, listen to lots of music, pretty much do anything outdoors, laugh a lot, and eat sushi.
